Episode 8: Education
If we intend to stay on this planet, the clock is ticking for global society to respond to the climate crisis. We need to transform the ways we move around our cities and countries and how we build our homes and infrastructure, creating a new, sustainable society.
The change doesn’t have to be about what we give up. How much do we stand to gain by creating ways of moving around that are more social, friendly and healthy? It’s a kind of hedonistic sustainability.
In November 2021, world leaders will (hopefully) come together at COP26 to set new climate targets, and agree steps to fund and reach them. This webinar series explores the opportunities for the built environment, local authorities and local communities to take action and halt, or even repair, the harm done to the environment.
Each month, a regular panel from Cratus Communications and Stantec are joined by special guests to deep dive a related topic.
This month, we’re to be joined by Mock COP26 Campaign Coordinator and UK Youth Representative on the Government of Italy’s Youth4Climate Advisory Committee, Joshua Tregale and Kate Sims, Education Consultant at the Education Development Trust to discuss climate education.
