Due to the expansion of our Communities service, we have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join the team. At Cratus, our Account Executives are the glue that hold us together. They are involved in all parts of the business and in almost every project.

If you have at least one year of experience and are looking to kickstart your career in community engagement, communications and PR, you could be our next hire.
You do not need to have industry experience, but you should be a competent writer, able to use your own initiative, and be keen to get stuck into every aspect of a project. You would be joining a strong team supporting a wide range of engagement and communications projects across the country, and we will need you to be comfortable working independently from an early stage.

The role is multifaceted and while the main activities are captured below, there may be other elements to the job which are not included. The main strands of work are:

  • Project support including some client lead work
  • Community engagement and community development
  • Personal development
  • Research and social media monitoring

Roles and responsibilities

Element 1 – Project support

  • Supporting client management and project administration
  • Drafting community engagement and development strategies
  • Managing project deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Drafting newsletters, community letters and reports for sign off by project lead
  • Producing press releases for sign off by project lead
  • Organising and attending stakeholder meetings

Element 2 – Community engagement and community development

  • Building community relationships and stakeholder networks
  • Preparing and implementing in-depth community development strategies
  • Drafting communications to support increased levels of community engagement
  • Meeting with community stakeholders and adjusting strategies and communications programmes based on community needs and feedback

Element 3 – Personal development

  • Identifying areas for further learning and development
  • Managing workload and reprioritising as needed
  • Shadowing and learning from senior team members
  • Sharing learning across Cratus

Element 4 – Research and social media

  • Inputting into proposals
  • Organising and managing social media campaigning
  • Social media research

Element 5 – Business development

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Developing own contact network
  • Attending networking events
  • Keeping up to date with local and sector press
  • Writing marketing materials and newsletters
  • Support team initiatives

Element 6 – Company

  • Office administration as required
  • Supporting Cratus training programme

The offer
