Cratus achieved another unanimous planning success this week. We assisted a client on a contentious greenfield site for 175 homes in Arun District Council. Cratus ran the community consultation which included an exhibition attended by over 200 local residents, monitored local political news and advised the client on how, who and when to engage locally.
Our key aim was to demonstrate to the decision makers the qualities of this proposal and how it would help them meet their housing need. The application was approved unanimously.
Ben Sherreard, Executive Director for Cratus Planning said:
“This was a great scheme but a controversial location. The Council knows it needs homes but local communities are fighting hard. To get unanimous approval is a fantastic result on any scheme however this was particularly good. A solid consultation process helped us identify the risks early on and manage them effectively through careful messaging. This was a great result.”
