The Role
As an Account Director you will play a senior role in the delivery of our work. You’ll lead client accounts, oversee strategy, manage teams and be a trusted advisor to businesses, leaders and political stakeholders. You’ll bring expertise in both public affairs and corporate communications, understanding how to build and grow our client base and national government relationships. You will contribute to the team’s business development activities working closely with the director for public affairs.
You’ll be a key part of our leadership team, responsible for delivering results, mentoring colleagues and driving business development. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference.
Ideally you will have previous agency experience and a deep understanding of the UK political landscape, communications and media. You will have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject such as politics, communications, journalism or public relations or in-depth knowledge and experience in the field. You will need to be able to think and write with clarity, make decisions, use your own initiative, and be keen to get stuck into every aspect of a project.
You would be joining an enthusiastic team that values people, makes connections and is driven by doing the right thing. You’ll be supporting a wide range of clients across the country and will need to be comfortable working independently from an early stage and supporting your colleagues and our clients at conferences and industry events.

The main strands of work are:
- Acting as the lead on client accounts and ensuring that account executives and account managers are providing up to the minute and detailed political intelligence and advice to clients
- Playing a key role within the senior team on business development activities
- Helping to shape our public affairs work in Westminster
- Nurturing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across government and relevant sectors of industry
- Being the key day to day contact for clients
- Leading client meetings
- Editing and authorising briefings and reports for clients from junior members of the team
- Ensuring the excellent delivery of client events and parliamentary receptions
- Support account executives with their work and progression
