Our latest report, ‘Council visioning and communications: a study on high performance’ sets out the key trends and characteristics that have emerged through engagement with council officers and members across the country, highlighting the importance of strategic planning and effective communications.

This report is the culmination of 18 months of research with over 140 senior council officers and members. The high turnover of the 2023 local elections has re-emphasised the need for developing highly functioning teams that are equipped to deliver the Council’s vision and strategy .
