Cratus joined their client, Splendid Hospitality Group, on Wednesday at Kingston Council to see their proposals for a new hotel in Worcester Park unanimously approved by the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.
The site is being redeveloped to provide a 132 room Ibis hotel and a new public bar on land which had previously been home to a disused pub for seven years. The scheme, which is ideally located next to Worcester Park train station, will bring jobs and economic activity back to the site as well as fulfilling the wishes of locals who wanted to see a public bar reopened onsite.
Cratus’ work on the scheme included keeping local councillors updated on the scheme, communicating the improvements made to the scheme as a result of feedback and ensuring planning committee members were engaged with the proposals ahead of the committee hearing.
In summarizing their thoughts, councillors felt the hotel was a good design and would be an asset for local residents and visitors alike.
Splendid!
