Last week, we announced our expansion into Cambridge which comes as part of our wider strategy of growth across the UK, following our expanded offer across national advocacy and corporate communications.
Our new office, based at the heart of Cambridge in Station Road, will be led by Duncan Flynn, Senior Director, and supported by a local team. Duncan brings with him over a decade of strategic communications and political engagement experience, driving projects across housing, transport, infrastructure, energy and technology sectors.
Since the publication of the Governments Case for Cambridge in March of this year, the ambition to make Cambridge the Science Capital of Europe has taken a significant step forward and with the Cambridge Delivery Group, Chaired by Peter Freeman, growth in the City and in wider Cambridgeshire will now start to pick up speed.
We know from our work elsewhere, the benefits of good growth in Cambridge will be felt far and wide and while key issues of transportation and water still need to be resolved, we believe that our investment is well-timed and will enable us to play an active role. We have been carefully planning our move for some months, having spoken already to those working in the region who have taken time to share their insights and encourage us to make this decision – we look forward to working with you all in the coming years.
Talking of the expansion into Cambridge, Nick Kilby, Chief Executive of Cratus Group, said:
“This expansion into Cambridge reflects the growth of Cratus Group and the increasing demands we’ve seen from clients across the Cambridgeshire region.
Cratus Group has long had experience and expertise in Cambridge – driving infrastructure projects and strategic counsel across the region – but this increased demand now needs to be met and serviced from Cambridge.
Our new office and offering will bring together this experience and expertise and provide clients with best-in-class support for leading national brands.”
Talking of the new opportunities that Cambridge is bringing, Senior Director and Head of Cambridge, Duncan Flynn said:
“The ambition for Cambridge, in this exciting time of growth and change, is of huge importance to the whole country and represents an opportunity for clients to engage and harness this potential. We will play a full part in making Cambridge the Science Capital of Europe.”
This expansion reflects a growing dominance across the Cambridgeshire region, as we continue to build our presence across growing strategic markets in the UK.
