With London’s economic landscape likely to have changed forever due to Covid-19, our panel discussed the impact on housing, business, and London life as we know it. To inform the debate, Oliver Knight from Knight Frank provided key trend analysis which highlighted the general resilience of the housing sector.
The panel also explored the pressures on development in the region and the growing trend of developers shunning the city due to unaffordable CIL payments and insufficient infrastructure.
The frustrations facing Housing Associations formed a key part of the webinar, with Geeta Nanda OBE highlighting the impact of fire safety remedial works – specifically where it is trapping leaseholders unable to sell or remortgage their properties.
