Cratus London win – City Hall approves Kensington Forum redevelopment

26.10.20

Cratus is delighted to be part of the team that supported Rockwell in it’s successful appeal to secure approval for the redevelopment of the Kensington Forum hotel after London’s Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and Skills Jules Pipe signed off the scheme on 22nd October.

Close to Gloucester Road Underground Station, the redevelopment provides a world-class hotel, a serviced apartment scheme and, importantly, 62 genuinely affordable homes.

The development will also provide substantial public benefits for the local community through the creation of over 800 employment opportunities and contribute over £1 million to training initiatives to ensure jobs are created for those most in need. In addition, substantial contributions of almost £3 million will be provided for public realm improvements to the area around Gloucester Road station including the expansion of the only publicly accessible green area within 1km of the site.

Alongside other schemes Cratus have supported Rockwell on, our London team provided the political and community engagement at local level as well as working to prepare the project team for the GLA hearing with the Deputy Mayor.
