This week we brought you the sixth episode in the Cratus and Stantec webinar series, ‘What Has The Environment Ever Done For Us?’.
Now available on demand, this episode revolved around the theme of housing, with special guest speaker: Rob Boughton, CEO at the Thakeham Group.
Rob was joined by our regular panel: Nick Kilby and Vikki Slade from Cratus, as well as Keith Mitchell, Jonathan Riggall, and Jenny Hughes from Stantec.
Alongside our nominations of headline of the month, climate hero and hypocrite of the month (both being awarded to Nigel Farage); Rob provided compelling insight into the housing sector’s route to net-zero and the barriers facing developers in a changing world. Conversation ranged from the importance of integrating biodiversity into new developments, to Thakeham’s commitment, as the first SME housebuilder to join the Race To Zero, that all new homes will be net-zero by 2025.
Our next webinar will be looking at the role and importance of leadership in the UK’s ambition to reach net-zero and combat the climate crisis. We’ll be joined by yet another special guest, who will be announced shortly. Registration for the event will be up on our website soon, so watch this space.
In the meantime, catch-up with all our previous episodes on our new YouTube channel. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the series and any of the content that’s been discussed by our panel so far. Please send any feedback to [email protected].
