On 8 March 2026, International Women’s Day provides an important opportunity to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and focus attention on the work still needed to create a more inclusive built environment sector.
At Cratus Group, we are once again proud to be working in partnership with the Land, Planning and Development Federation (LPDF) to deliver our second annual International Women’s Day survey, capturing insights from across the industry on the experiences, challenges and opportunities facing women today.
Last year’s survey provided a valuable snapshot of the sector, highlighting both encouraging progress and persistent barriers around representation, progression and workplace culture. Crucially, it also demonstrated the appetite across the industry for honest discussion and practical action.
This year’s survey builds on that foundation. By running the research for a second consecutive year, we are able to benchmark results, identify emerging trends and better understand where progress is being made – and where it is not.
The aim is simple: to move beyond anecdote and provide robust, evidence-based insight that can help organisations attract, retain and support female talent at all levels.
We are inviting professionals from across the built environment (regardless of gender, role, seniority or background) to take part in the survey and share their perspectives.
The findings will help inform:
Industry-wide conversations about inclusion and leadership
Practical strategies for employers and decision-makers
Future events, discussions and policy engagement
Every response contributes to a clearer picture of the sector and strengthens our collective ability to drive meaningful change.
International Women’s Day is about more than celebration — it is about progress, accountability and action. By contributing to this year’s survey, you can play a direct role in shaping the conversation and helping the industry move forward.
As part of this year’s programme, Cratus and the LPDF will also be hosting a joint International Women’s Day breakfast event on Thursday 5 March 2026, from 8.30–10.30am.
The event will feature a panel of female speakers from across the built environment, who will reflect on the early survey findings, share their own experiences, and discuss practical actions that organisations and leaders can take to support women in the sector. If you would like to attend, please contact us here.
We look forward to sharing the findings and continuing the conversation throughout International Women’s Day 2026 and beyond.
