Cratus were delighted to see Lanbury London’s 87 Blackwall Lane scheme approved by the Greenwich Planning Board. The scheme proposes to demolish an old tyre yard and replace it with a part five part six storey building with 27 residential homes and communal courtyard.
Cratus London’s role was to engage with local politicians and the community to win support for the scheme and redevelopment of the site.
Our work included engagement with local councillors, local community groups and a public exhibition. We also carried out two door knocking sessions and the delivery of leaflets though residents’ doors with updates on the scheme’s progress.
The planning committee discussed the provision of three bed units within the scheme, planting within the scheme and the provision of affordable housing which were all seen as positive by members. The committee then moved to a vote and approved the scheme ten votes to two.
