Local Growth: realising every place’s potential

White Paper “Local Growth: realising every place’s potential” recently published by the Government.

This announced the Local Government Resource Review. This review will consider a number of proposals for business rates incentives, including business rates retention for renewable energy projects. The Government intends to launch the review in January after a period of consultation on the proposals in the White Paper.

Cratus recommends that all our clients engaged with renewable energy take part in the consultation process. Further developments in the forthcoming “Localism” Bill and the “Climate Change” Bill are expected early next year.
