Planning approval secured for landmark development in Brighton

27.07.18

Following over 8 months of work, Cratus London were delighted to see planning permission granted to Edward Street Quarter Ltd: a joint-venture between First Base and Patron Capital. Approval was granted to create a new mixed-use community on Edward Street, Brighton.

The plans for the site include 168 new homes and more than 16,000 sq/m of commercial space which can accommodate up to 2,000 jobs. A new public green space will also be delivered to encourage activity outdoors.

The scheme is the largest office-led commercial application for Brighton since City Park was approved in Hove in 2002.

Cratus carried out a full engagement programme which included bespoke events in the local community and consultation updates delivered to 1500 residents living close to the site. Our consultation programme was commended by ward councillors, members of the planning committee and the new Council Leader.
