Brendon Walsh has extensive experience in planning and regeneration, having held roles at both Director and Non-Executive Director level in both the private and public sectors. He is an experienced campaigner who is used to the political complexity of delivering major physical and environmental change.
Brendon’s career was spent in the Private Sector in Telecommunications and IT, followed by a decade working at Senior level in the Training and Enterprise Council and Business Link movements. He then moved into the Public Sector, working in Local Government for 16 years.
Brendon was previously the London Borough of Hounslow’s Executive Director for Planning, Property and Environment as well as Group Managing Director for their Trading Companies. Prior to this, he spent time with Ealing Council and South Oxfordshire District Council. Brendon ‘retired’ from Local Government in 2017 but was enticed back to work with a portfolio of Private Sector Clients, acting as a consultant and Non-Executive Director.
He has a track record of enabling complex regeneration schemes such as Hounslow High Street Quarter, Ealing Town Centre, & Brentford River Front. Brendon has also been pivotal in commissioning masterplans to stimulate major investment into West London, most notably around Heathrow Airport, the A4 ‘Golden Mile’, and earlier in his career, at Park Royal and Wembley.
He has been called as an expert witness at Planning Inquiries and Select Committees over the years and has a strong record of success in seeing projects through from concept to cutting the ribbon.
