Charlie Murphy

Account Manager (Planning)

Charlie is an Account Manager within the Planning Communications Team. He has worked in planning communications and public affairs across a range of sectors, including healthcare, purpose-built student accommodation, residential and energy infrastructure across London and the South of England.

Prior to his role in planning communications, Charlie’s background is in politics, having worked as a Press, Digital and Media Officer for a large delegation of British MEPs in the European Parliament, in Brussels and Strasbourg, up until the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.

Charlie studied the effects of climate change on international security with a BA in International Politics at Aberystwyth University, and later a Master’s in European Studies from King’s College London.

Between 2017 and 2019, Charlie was involved in housing campaigns for the Liberal Democrats, writing policy and leading campaigns strategy in support of increased housebuilding.

Charlie is a digital native, with a strong understanding of running social media campaigns and years of experience in campaign and content design.
