Sarah is our Managing Director (Corporate Communications & Communities) bringing significant experience in leading communications, collaboration and engagement activities within the construction and engineering sector.

Sarah’s career has been built on an ability to bring strategic objectives to life through purposeful communications. Her background is in construction and major infrastructure projects, including 6 years as Head of Communications and Collaboration for EKFB, a joint venture delivering civil engineering works across 80km of HS2. Equally at home in the board room, the parish hall or the site canteen, Sarah is adept at balancing the requirements of different stakeholders and cascading communications through the supply chain. She is adept at supporting different parties to analyse and codify their contrasting priorities, and helps people and teams to understand that ‘contrasting’ does not have to mean ‘conflicting’.

Sarah is passionate about representation, inclusion and social value. She has been a judge for the Diversity in Rail category for the Rail Business Awards since 2019, and a committee member for Women in Rail West Midlands since 2018. In 2021 she was the winner of the European Women in Construction and Engineering (WICE) Awards ‘Best female mentor’.

Before joining Cratus, Sarah held numerous in-house communications, stakeholder management and transformation roles within construction and the built environment, delivering projects from company and employer branding, inclusion and behavioural change, strategic business planning, community and stakeholder engagement, people development and capability planning.
