On Thursday night, our clients Urban Infill and Avison Young received planning permission for their office scheme in central Bromley. They will bring A-Grade office space to the borough and be the first purpose-built development to do so. We are delighted that the hard work from the whole project team has been rewarded.
Cratus was approached earlier in the year to join the project team, and provided high-level political engagement, approaching ward councillors and leadership figures to help make the case for the scheme. Our engagement was successful, and we secured support from ward councillors, with one of them speaking in support of the scheme at its committee hearing.
In the run up to the committee meeting, we also provided an elegant and detailed briefing paper to members of the committee, showcasing the merits of the scheme and reflecting the work done by the client over the process.
Our efforts resulted in an emphatic result, with all 17 members of the Development Control Board voting in favour of the scheme, which will build higher than the existing structure.
