Cratus London is proud to be part of the team that secured a planning consent on the former Star Pub in Hillingdon for Crossier Properties at the planning committee last week.
This will see the redevelopment of this brownfield site to bring forward a new mixed-use scheme including ground floor commercial space, apartments, and houses.
Throughout the project, we engaged with local political and community stakeholders and provided political insight to the project team. Alongside this, we carried out research and provided intelligence about members of the planning committee to understand themes and patterns of interest and potential questioning at committee.
Community engagement was a key element of the support that we provided, managing local community engagement and working with the design team to bring forward a local community consultation event. We also carried out continued community liaison through to the determination of the application.
As the application approached the committee, we continued to engage with members and prepared a briefing, outlining the scheme for members of the planning committee.
While the committee discussed the importance of new housing locally and the delivery of commercial space, members showed a particular interest in matters related to sustainability and net zero carbon delivery.
With support from the technical team and Cratus, the scheme was approved unanimously at Hillingdon’s planning committee.
