The 2024 Chamberlain Lecture coming to UKREiiF this May

18.01.24 | Written by Luca Difato

The annual Chamberlain Lecture is an opportunity for us to come together. An opportunity to reflect on the achievements of local government and the local public sector, and look ahead to where the sector is going. We believe in staying grounded in our shared history and ethos of public service – an ethos that was embodied by Joseph Chamberlain.

Since its inception in 2018, the Lecture has celebrated visionary leadership and achievements in local government and the impact it can have on the communities they serve. You can listen to previous Lectures here.

The Chamberlain Lecture has hosted the following extraordinary guest speakers since the inaugural address in 2018:

  • Lord Heseltine, former Secretary of State
  • Lord Kerslake, former Head of Home Civil Service
  • Cllr Georgia Gould, Leader of London Borough of Camden
  • Cllr Marvin Rees, Leader of Bristol City Council
  • Cllr John Cotton, Leader of Birmingham City Council

This this year will be no different, as Councillor Bev Craig, Leader of Manchester City Council, will deliver the address from the Cratus Group pavilion at 6.45pm on Tuesday 21st May at the 2024 UKREiiF Conference.

You can now secure your place at this event by clicking here.

Please note that as this event will be taking place at UKREiiF, you will need a conference pass in order to attend.
