On the fourth of August we donned our hard hats to go on a group site visit to Henley Gate, part of the Ipswich Garden Suburb being developed by Crest Nicholson Eastern. We toured the country park which will be 75 acres overall, made up of wildflower meadows, play areas, trees, and wildlife habitats specifically made to attract wildlife such as skylarks and bats. The visit also included a tour of the finished homes, part-built homes, foundations, and show homes.
The group included Councillors from Ipswich Borough Council, a representative of the Ipswich Society, and members of Whitton Parish Church and Council – all from the Henley Gate Community Liaison Group. The Communities team runs Community Liaison Groups for many of our projects, they allow local stakeholders the chance to meet with the developers for regular updates and questions surrounding the scheme.
This was the first time members of the Liaison Group had met in person, thanks to Crest Nicholson for hosting us.
