Duncan typically advises clients across the Home Counties around Local Plan site allocations and planning applications. In over ten years of working as a consultant to clients in the built environment sector, Duncan has advised large housebuilders such as Crest Nicholson, Taylor Wimpey and Wates, high street businesses such as Metro Bank and Starbucks, school academy trusts, hotel groups, extra-care housing providers, student housing developers, NHS trusts, energy companies and data centre providers.
Prior to working in planning communications, Duncan worked as a solicitor for two leading City law firms specialising in Real Estate Finance work and as a researcher in the European Parliament. Duncan served as a Conservative Party councillor in the London Borough of Hillingdon from 2014-2022. During this time he served as the Chairman of the Conservative Group, as the Vice-Chairman of one of the Borough’s Planning Committees and finally as the Chief Whip of the ruling Conservative Group. Duncan was also a candidate for Westminster City Council in 2010 and served as a member of the Conservative Party’s City Future Steering Group (2006-2009). Duncan was educated at the University of York (B.A. History) and the College of Law.
