Paul Teverson joined Cratus in March 2026 as Senior Director for Planning in the Southern Home Counties.

Paul has more than 25 years of experience in the communications world, first working for an MP and Minister in the Blair Government. He then spent several years working for communications agencies in the built environment sector, helping achieve planning consent for housing and major infrastructure projects, including for new wind farms, urban extensions, schools, care homes and waste facilities.
In 2011 he then went in-house as Group Director of Communications for McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities where he had full responsibility for external, internal and crisis communications as well as local and national public affairs. Over a 15-year period he led the local planning support work for the business, achieving more than 500 planning consents for new developments worth more than £4bn. He also set up the McCarthy Stone Charitable Foundation, where he remains a Trustee.
At Cratus Paul is responsible for planning projects in the Southern Home Counties covering site allocations and planning applications. He was educated at the University of Newcastle and has a degree in politics. He has also stood twice as a local councillor in London.
